Therapy for Boston's most driven professionals

Direct, effective support for leaders in demanding careers

Therapy at Azimuth is different from what most people imagine. It's not about diagnoses or passive listening. Instead, we offer collaborative, solutions-focused conversations designed to clarify what's holding you back and chart a sustainable path forward.

Whether your challenges stem from work, relationships, or somewhere in between, we'll help you make sense of it — and develop the skills you need to move forward.

The professionals we support

Our clients are leaders and high-performers, each facing unique challenges rooted in high-pressure environments. Some are partners in law firms or executives and VPs in fast-paced industries. Others are founders, consultants, physicians, or academics navigating high expectations and constant demands.

They come to us for different reasons — managing career transitions, balancing competing responsibilities, or finding a better sense of direction.

Common threads include:

No matter the challenge, our approach is tailored, actionable, and always grounded in the realities of your life and work. You don't need a diagnosis. You don't need a specific goal. You just need a place to think, recalibrate, and figure out what's next.

FAQ

What types of therapy techniques do you use?

We don't believe in a fixed approach. Our clinicians are trained in a variety of evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Instead of rigidly following a single framework, we modify our approach to what works best for you.

Do I need a specific diagnosis to start therapy?

Not at all. Many of our clients come to us simply seeking better ways to manage their personal and professional lives. While we can offer diagnoses when necessary, our focus is on helping you move forward, not on labeling your experience.

How long will I need to be in therapy?

It varies based on your goals and circumstances. Some clients work with us for a few months to tackle a specific challenge, while others prefer ongoing sessions for deeper, long-term support. Ultimately, it's up to you — therapy can evolve with your needs.

How do I know if I've found the right therapist?

The right therapist feels like a good fit — someone who listens, understands, and helps you feel both supported and challenged. If you're not sure where to start, check out our How to Find a Therapist guide written by our founder, Dr. Janna Koretz.

Do you offer teletherapy?

Yes. We offer teletherapy for clients who prefer the convenience of virtual sessions. Whether you're traveling or simply prefer to meet from home, teletherapy is a flexible way to stay connected.

What can I expect in the first session?

Your first session is about getting to know you: what brought you here, what you want to focus on, and how we can help. It's a conversation, not an assessment, and we'll work together to map out the best path forward.
